Home Made Mashed Potatoes

Because of Thanksgiving holiday and my kids always asked for mashed potatoes, and that make me learned how to cook mashed potatoes. But, we start from buying ready to cook mashed potatoes in a box, (cannot remember what brand we bought), and then one year my husband cook mashed potatoes for us, so I ask him, how he cook it?

And from then until now I have to cook mashed potatoes for our family and I like to add something to my mashed potatoes. I use an electric mixer for my mashed potatoes, because it faster than mashes potatoes with a spoon.

Homemade mashed potatoes

Butter or margarine

5-6 potatoes

8 oz Shredded cheese or cream cheese

Milk or creamer

Optional: Shopped cilantro, pepper and garlic sprinkle on top.

How to make;

- Wash potatoes and put in the pot filled with water, bring it to boil on medium-high heat until all potatoes cooked and soft.

- Rinse water out and put potatoes in a big bowl

- Peel off potatoes skin

- Put all potatoes while it hot or still warm and butter in an electric mixer, and beat at low speed until potatoes and butter are mixed well.

- Add in cheeses or cream cheese and stir at medium speed

- Pour in milk and stir until all the ingredients mixed well.

Now enjoy your home made mashed potatoes.

**If you like cilantro you can put cilantro leaf and mix it with the ingredients.

** I like to add milk or half and half to my mashed potatoes for a better creamy test.

but I like to use half and half better, because half and half have more sweetness test than milk.
